As a Radio Frequency Engineer on the Physical Products team, you will design and integrate RF systems that function reliably in real-world, contested electromagnetic environments—not just clean lab conditions. This is a hands-on role spanning the full RF chain: antenna and front-end design, link budgets, electronic warfare resilience, and practical hardware implementation.
Key responsibilities include:
• Design and specify RF front-ends, antennas, and associated hardware, balancing gain, bandwidth, efficiency, size, and cost trade-offs for specific platforms and missions
• Own link budget analysis for communications, telemetry, and seeker/radar systems, translating range, data rate, and reliability requirements into defensible RF architectures
• Work on resilience to contested electromagnetic environments, including jamming, spoofing, and interference; design systems that degrade gracefully rather than fail outright
• Build, test, and validate RF hardware in realistic operational scenarios, not just simulation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including AI specialists, systems engineers, and programme managers to integrate RF subsystems into larger platforms
You will be expected to move fluidly between theoretical design, practical prototyping, and field testing. The role demands someone who wants their design decisions validated against real environments and operational constraints, not just specification sheets.
