LeoLabs is building a living map of activity in space through a proprietary global radar network and AI-enabled analytics platform. The company collects millions of measurements daily on 25,000+ objects in low Earth orbit, supporting space domain awareness, space traffic management, and satellite operations for commercial and government missions. As a Radar Software Engineer, you'll develop and maintain advanced software for phased array radars, working across the full software stack including deployment infrastructure, monitoring systems, real-time GPU processing, and test infrastructure. Your work directly impacts mission-critical systems that support national security and commercial space operations. Key responsibilities include: - Developing and improving test infrastructure, observability tooling (logs, metrics, alerts), and unit test execution - Rewriting and hardening the radar deployment system for robustness, speed, and reliability - Maintaining CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions workflows - Building operational dashboards for the radar team - Developing data plotting and file writing utilities - Benchmarking and optimizing Linux system tuning for real-time applications - Improving configuration management systems Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of hands-on software engineering experience. Strong proficiency in Python, experience building CI/CD pipelines, solid understanding of software testing practices, REST API design and implementation, and database systems (SQL/NoSQL). Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. personnel security clearance. Preferred skills include cloud platform experience, SRE/DevOps practices, Linux system administration, dashboard development, high-performance Linux tuning, and observability tooling expertise.
