Infleqtion is seeking a Quantum Integrations Engineer to bridge quantum computing software with external platforms and ecosystems. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining integrations between Infleqtion's quantum computing stack (including Superstaq) and third-party software platforms, cloud environments, HPC systems, scientific applications, and enterprise tools.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and develop production-quality integrations between quantum software and external platforms (cloud, HPC, AI, scientific computing)
- Work directly with ecosystem partners to understand their architectures, APIs, workflows, and integration requirements
- Develop APIs, SDKs, plugins, adapters, and reference implementations to connect Infleqtion systems with partner platforms
- Build hybrid quantum-classical workflow solutions including job submission, orchestration, data movement, and resource management
- Create abstractions that allow users to interact with quantum resources without deep hardware knowledge
- Develop prototypes and proofs of concept with strategic partners
- Collaborate with internal quantum software, applications, product, and systems teams
- Establish automated testing, monitoring, and validation approaches
- Troubleshoot complex integration issues spanning quantum software, cloud infrastructure, networking, and external APIs
- Develop integration documentation, technical specifications, reference architectures, and developer examples
- Contribute to technical workshops and design sessions with partners
- Stay current with developments in quantum software, cloud computing, HPC, and AI infrastructure
Required qualifications include a BS/MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or related field. Strong software development skills with Python fluency are essential. Experience required in API design/consumption, software system integration, distributed/cloud computing, backend development frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, Django, gRPC), cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD workflows. Familiarity with quantum computing is valuable. This is a technical individual contributor role serving as a bridge between quantum and classical computing ecosystems.
