Anduril Industries is seeking a Quality Specialist to join the Intelligence Systems Quality Team in Santa Ana, California. This role is central to ensuring product and process quality across incoming materials inspection, in-process verification, and end-of-line inspection operations.
Key responsibilities include managing the Materials Review Board (MRB) process, inspecting non-conforming parts at the Santa Ana site and supplier locations, and partnering with Supplier Quality Engineering to maintain quality standards. You will assist in root cause analysis, dispositioning of non-conforming material, and managing internal rework efforts. The role requires accurate data collection and communication of process performance and quality issues to stakeholders.
Additional duties encompass executing vendor return material authorization (RMA) processes, performing First Article Inspection (FAI) verification on incoming materials, and managing quality containment for material, tooling, and inspection equipment. You will create and execute inspection plans for incoming, in-process, and end-of-line inspections, train technicians and inspectors on inspection procedures, and propose quality assurance policies and procedures.
The position involves deep-dive data analysis and traceability investigations to identify trends and variations impacting process effectiveness and product quality. You will also review and propose continuous improvement projects aimed at productivity gains and quality enhancements aligned with Anduril's quality policy.
Required qualifications include an Associate degree or equivalent in a related field, plus 3+ years of experience in metrology inspection or quality roles. A Secret security clearance is required. The role is hybrid with travel to supplier sites as assigned.
