As a QA Engineer, you will champion the quality and reliability of web and mobile client-facing applications in a remote role based in Canada. You'll work within an Agile environment, collaborating closely with development teams to build, execute, and integrate robust test strategies that ensure reliable, high-quality product releases.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for product features
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for front-end applications and APIs/back-end services using Cypress or Playwright
- Conduct exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and maximize feature coverage
- Monitor CI/CD regression testing pipelines, identify and track bugs through resolution
- Cross-functional collaboration with Product Management and Engineering on acceptance criteria
- Active participation in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and reviews
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of proven Software Quality Assurance experience
- Hands-on expertise building UI automation with Cypress and Playwright
- API service test automation experience using Cypress, Playwright, Rest Assured, or Postman
- Strong understanding of CI/CD workflows and best practices
- Deep knowledge of QA fundamentals, testing best practices, and test management tools (Zephyr, TestRail)
- Demonstrated experience with Scrum and Kanban frameworks
- Experience in Fintech, Wealth Management, or Financial Services
