Maxima is an AI-native startup transforming enterprise accounting. The company has raised over $41M from top-tier VCs and is live with customers including Scale AI, Rippling, and Zendesk. You'll be the first QA engineer on the Toronto team, playing a critical role in establishing quality standards as the company scales.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and expanding end-to-end test coverage using Playwright, leveraging AI to generate and optimize tests
- Maintaining and improving existing test suites
- Performing manual testing to identify edge cases and ensure product robustness
As test infrastructure matures, you'll expand into the codebase, fixing bugs and implementing new features alongside the engineering team. You'll work with Typescript and React, and familiarity with Playwright is essential.
The role is based in the Toronto office at King Station in downtown Toronto, with a 5-day-per-week in-person arrangement. The team is tight-knit and values initiative, ownership, and collaborative problem-solving. Lunch is provided.
