As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be a hands-on contributor responsible for automation execution and quality ownership of specific features and modules. You will leverage modern tools and AI-assisted development to improve test speed and coverage across web, mobile, and backend systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building, executing, and maintaining UI and API automated tests using Playwright/Selenium with Java or Python
- Performing end-to-end and regression testing to ensure release readiness
- Owning QA for assigned modules, including test planning, design, automation coverage, execution, and regression sign-off
- Achieving approximately 70–80% automation coverage with stable, reliable test suites
- Analyzing test failures, identifying defects, and providing clear root cause analysis
- Using AI tools (Copilot, Cursor, Gemini) to generate tests, debug, and improve coverage
- Validating AI/LLM-driven features for prompt and response accuracy
- Collaborating with engineering teams on debugging and fix verification
- Contributing to CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
You will bring 5–8 years of QA and test automation experience, strong proficiency in Java or Python combined with Playwright or Selenium, solid understanding of UI, API, functional, and regression testing, and experience with REST APIs, Postman, and CI/CD pipelines. Exposure to AI-assisted coding tools and strong debugging and analytical skills are essential. Experience with VoIP, contact center platforms, or performance testing is a plus.
The role is hybrid, requiring three days per week in the Bangalore office, and reports to the Manager of Quality Assurance.
