Lio is building an AI workforce for enterprise procurement, and this role focuses on the connectivity layer that powers the platform. As a Python Web Crawler & PunchOut Integration Engineer, you will design and maintain integrations connecting hundreds of suppliers to Lio's platform.
Your primary responsibilities include building robust web crawlers, PunchOut integrations (OCI & cXML standards), and direct webshop API connectors. You'll reverse-engineer supplier websites and APIs to create reliable integrations that enable customers to seamlessly access supplier catalogues, pricing, and product data. You'll develop asynchronous Python services using modern networking libraries and browser automation tools, extracting and normalizing product, pricing, and availability data from diverse sources.
You'll also own debugging and troubleshooting of production issues, continuously improving integration reliability and performance across the platform.
Required qualifications: 4+ years of professional Python development experience with strong expertise in web crawling, scraping, API development, or API reverse engineering. You should have solid knowledge of asyncio, httpx, HTTP protocols, browser automation frameworks, and REST API design. Experience with HTML parsing, JSON/XML handling, MongoDB, and Pydantic is expected. You need excellent debugging skills, an ownership mindset, and fluent English; German language skills are a plus.
