Salary: USD 266,100 - 399,100 / annual
F5 is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to serve as a technical leadership role supporting a Sales region, with focus on public sector customers. This is a strategic position where you will work collaboratively with Sales teams to identify and champion appropriate F5 solutions addressing customers' business needs across cloud, AI, DevOps, security, and service provider domains.
You will provide deep technical expertise and business acumen across specific industries, serving as a liaison between Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Product Development. Your responsibilities include evaluating technical and business trade-offs between solution alternatives, acting as an evangelist and thought leader in your area of specialization, and mentoring the Solution Engineering community. You will work on strategic opportunities within your assigned region, quickly learning adjacent technologies to extend core knowledge, and collaborating with other architects to identify common customer pain points and F5 solutions.
Key responsibilities include working with enterprise, service provider, and public sector customers; providing technical expertise for product launches and updates; making product demonstrations and technical presentations to technical and business leaders; and sharing knowledge through whitepapers, trainings, blogs, tech-tips, and presentations. You will translate deep technical concepts into language consumable by audiences ranging from C-suite executives to deeply technical staff.
Required qualifications:
- 8+ years of related industry experience
- 5+ years in a presales role
- Advanced knowledge of F5 solutions and automation (Application Delivery, Application Security, Automated threats, DevSecOps, Denial of Service, Authentication and Authorization, API)
- Advanced experience with Kubernetes and Docker containerization, including automation tools, processes, logging and troubleshooting
- Experience with multiple container orchestration concepts and platforms
- Operational expertise on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
- Advanced knowledge of multiple Linux distributions (installation, system maintenance, application management, tuning)
- Competency in virtualization with experience launching VMs in enterprise and cloud environments
- Experience with Nginx and Nginx Plus configuration and management
- Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes Ingress Controllers (testing, migration, troubleshooting)
- Advanced experience with API Gateway concepts, operations, and life cycles
- Knowledge of AI applications, models, systems, and infrastructure
- Understanding of machine learning models and natural language processing
- Experience speaking at industry/customer events and publishing whitepapers, solution articles, blogs, tech-tips
- Extensive experience making product demonstrations and technical presentations
- Deep knowledge of F5 Solutions
- Knowledge of legacy technologies and their application in modern platforms (Linux, networking, virtualization)
- BS/BA or equivalent work experience
- Relevant certifications a plus
