Finite State is a Series B, fully distributed company building a platform that brings transparency to connected devices and supply chains across enterprises, healthcare, utilities, critical infrastructure, and government. The PSC (Product Security Concierge) Engineer role is a customer-facing technical position within the Services organization, reporting to the Head of PSC Engineering. In this role, you will be the trusted technical owner for a portfolio of customer accounts, working directly with security and engineering teams at major device manufacturers. You'll analyze real-world connected products through firmware and binary analysis, software supply chain investigations, vulnerability triage, and remediation guidance. Your responsibilities include executing penetration tests and security assessments of embedded systems (hardware and software), running threat modeling and risk assessments that shape how customers design secure products, and building integrations, automation, and AI-driven workflows on the Finite State platform. You will guide customers through regulatory requirements including the EU Cyber Resilience Act, RED, and FDA cybersecurity standards, translating compliance pressure into actionable engineering clarity. Communication is critical—you'll present findings to firmware engineers, security teams, CISOs, and executive boards. Beyond technical delivery, you'll own customer outcomes across platform adoption, support, account health, renewals, and expansion opportunities. The role leverages an advanced product security platform and cutting-edge AI tooling, enabling a single sharp engineer to deliver what once required entire consulting teams. You'll partner across Sales, Product, Engineering, and the broader PSC organization to identify risks, coordinate support, and ensure consistent customer experience. You'll also capture reusable solutions and insights that improve the platform for future customers. Required: 5+ years in customer engineering, solutions engineering, technical account management, security consulting, or field engineering. You need hands-on experience building integrations, SDKs, automation, APIs, or platform extensions; strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; ability to translate customer needs into practical solutions; and excellent written and verbal communication. You must manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously, build trusted customer relationships across technical and nontechnical stakeholders, and own customer outcomes holistically.
