ICEYE is the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space, operating the largest and most advanced SAR (synthetic aperture radar) satellite constellation. As a Propulsion Operations Engineer, you will support the Attitude and Orbit Control domain, ensuring propulsion systems perform reliably across ICEYE's fast-growing satellite fleet. You will work closely with hardware suppliers, operations teams, and the propulsion engineering group to maintain safe and effective propulsion operations both in orbit and on the ground. Your responsibilities span the full lifecycle of propulsion operations: commissioning and orbit raising activities, on-orbit and on-ground anomaly response and resolution, definition and improvement of ground verification activities, and development of operational procedures. Your day-to-day work involves overseeing propulsion operations, coordinating with hardware suppliers on anomalies, participating in verification and procedure improvements, and directly impacting mission success through reliable fleet operations. Required qualifications include a BS in Physics, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar field; basic understanding of orbital dynamics and electric propulsion fundamentals; hands-on experience with electric propulsion (thesis, research project, or equivalent); and working knowledge of Python and Git. Nice-to-have skills include experience with electric propulsion hardware and flight dynamics software (STK, GMAT). The role reports to the Engineering Lead for AOCS Hardware and is permanent, office-based in Warsaw. Employment is subject to applicable security screening.
