Relativity Space is building rockets to serve today's needs and tomorrow's breakthroughs. The Terran R vehicle will deliver customer payloads to orbit, meeting growing demand for launch capacity. You'll join the Engine Manufacturing team, which is dedicated to delivering high-performance engines and advancing innovative manufacturing systems that continuously improve cost, quality, and lead time. In this role, you will oversee end-to-end manufacturing for the development and production of Combustion Device hardware for the Aeon-R and Vacuum Engine programs. You'll develop initial processes required to build the hardware, implement them into production, and drive process improvements to enable rapid production ramp. This is not just execution—you'll actively provide input that shapes new hardware iterations and regularly interface with design engineers to make critical decisions. Key responsibilities include: collaborating closely with stakeholders within Manufacturing (machine shop, additive manufacturing, etc.) and external teams (Supply Chain, Propulsion Design) to drive manufacturability and scalability; ensuring delivery meets program targets; and driving continuous improvement, new product development, and strategy for Combustion Device manufacturing across Relativity. You'll need a Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace, mechanical, manufacturing engineering, or equivalent. Minimum 2+ years of experience building and testing hardware in a manufacturing environment is required. You should have extensive experience authoring work instructions and process procedures for complex assemblies, and experience interfacing with design engineering, manufacturing, and production personnel in a production environment. Relativity emphasizes autonomy, ownership, and impact at every level. You'll solve problems that haven't been solved before, collaborate across teams, shape decisions, and see your work come to life in record time. This is an early-stage moment where you can leave your mark on the product, process, and culture while Terran R is tangible and picking up momentum.
