Relativity Space is building the Terran R rocket to deliver payloads to orbit using advanced 3D printing manufacturing. As a Propulsion Integration & Test Engineer II, you will own the AeonR engine integrated assembly from design release through integration to shipment. You'll develop and refine build processes to meet aggressive production targets and reduce build issues, directly impacting the production rate of flight engines for Terran R's launch manifest. You'll work within the Engine Manufacturing team, which is focused on delivering high-performance engines and advancing innovative manufacturing systems that improve cost, quality, and lead time. In this role, you actively provide input that shapes new hardware iterations and regularly interface with design engineers to make critical decisions for the AeonR program. The team has successfully developed and refined processes for initial development engines and is now scaling to produce flight engines at rate. Key responsibilities include owning the integrated assembly process from design through shipment, developing processes and specifications that directly impact engine production rates, conducting propulsion system testing and validation, troubleshooting integration issues, and collaborating across propulsion, manufacturing, and avionics teams. You'll have autonomy and ownership at every level, solving problems that haven't been solved before and seeing your work come to life in record time. This is a first-shift position (6am–3pm) at a venture-backed aerospace company at a unique inflection point—early enough to leave your mark on the product and culture, but far enough along that Terran R is tangible and gaining momentum. You'll work in a collaborative environment where creativity and technical rigor go hand in hand.
