Impulse Space seeks a Proposal Manager to lead the development and submission of high-quality proposals for competitive US Government programs. This technical role bridges Business Development with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Finance, Legal, Mission Management, and other departments.
Key responsibilities include:
• Write and edit technical proposals for government opportunities, serving as both primary contributor and quality editor
• Evaluate new business opportunities and formulate solutions in collaboration with the Business Development team
• Read, understand, and synthesize complex technical requirements documents from customer RFPs
• Break down proposal efforts into manageable tasks and coordinate inputs from technical experts across the company
• Develop and maintain proposal schedules and timelines
• Create supporting graphics and materials for proposals
• Ensure all proposals meet submission compliance requirements
• Maintain and improve the company's repository of reusable proposal content and templates
• Support other teams with technical writing, editing, and communication needs (white papers, technical documentation)
The role offers the opportunity to own the proposal process end-to-end, identify continuous improvements, and streamline future efforts. You'll work with a technical audience and develop deep understanding of Impulse's capabilities, customer needs, and government contracting landscape.
Required qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or related discipline
• 5+ years of professional writing and/or editing experience
• 2+ years of experience publishing professional documents
• Strong ability to communicate technical material clearly and professionally
• Demonstrated proficiency in planning and managing schedules
