Flock Homes is a venture-backed fintech platform helping retiring landlords exit rental properties through a tech-enabled 1031 Exchange structure. The company manages residential properties on behalf of owners who contribute to a professionally managed fund, retaining passive equity ownership and continued cashflows without triggering capital gains or tenant disruption.
As Property Management Analyst, you will be the primary operational point of contact for residents and property administration as Flock scales from ~1,000 to several thousand managed units. You'll own end-to-end workflows across resident relations, rent collection, housing program compliance, security deposits, HOA coordination, and utility administration.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day resident relationships: field tenant inquiries, resolve lease/payment/account questions, escalate complex issues
- Own the delinquency cycle: monitor balances, conduct outreach, prepare and send rent demands on statutory timelines
- Administer Section 8 and other housing programs: handle paperwork, inspections, rent changes, housing authority communication, and compliance exceptions
- Process security deposit returns: gather move-out documentation, prepare dispositions, meet statutory deadlines
- Coordinate HOA matters: track notices and violations, drive tenant-responsible resolutions, route maintenance items, manage deadlines and fines
- Maintain utility administration: manage accounts, resolve billing discrepancies, coordinate tenant responsibility, run monthly occupancy audits
You will work from Flock's Downtown Denver office in a startup environment where you'll be expected to take initiative, improve processes, and contribute to a growing operations team.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in real estate, property management, or customer service
- Meticulous and process-driven with strong documentation discipline
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with outstanding customer service orientation
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with proactive problem-solving ability
- Demonstrated accountability and commitment to compliance with policies and regulatory requirements
- Community-minded approach with authentic engagement across diverse populations
- AppFolio experience is a plus
