Meesho's Automation team is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the end-to-end execution of a new automated warehouse sorting facility. This is a high-impact role where you will serve as the single point of accountability from inception through commissioning, managing the delivery of a complex, multi-disciplinary project that forms the backbone of Meesho's supply chain operations.
You will manage cross-functional vendors across automation machinery, infrastructure, and operations to deliver the project on time, within budget, and to specification. Key responsibilities include:
**Project Planning & Execution:** Define project scope, timelines, and milestones aligned with business goals. Develop detailed project plans covering automation systems, infrastructure, IT integration, electrical power, and operations readiness. Work closely with the central automation and network team to understand design requirements and ensure vendor delivery meets specifications.
**Cross-Functional Coordination:** Collaborate with automation and machinery vendors for design, procurement, installation, and testing. Align with operations teams on process design, manpower planning, and standard operating procedures. Partner with infrastructure teams to design facility layout for electrical and safety systems.
**Project Monitoring & Control:** Track progress against KPIs (time, cost, quality, safety). Set up dashboards and early-warning systems for issue detection and resolution. Conduct regular site reviews and monitor SOP adherence.
**Commissioning & Handover:** Ensure smooth installation, testing, and acceptance of automation systems. Drive facility readiness through trial runs, operator training, and handover to operations. Document learnings and best practices. Ensure timely delivery of spares and maintenance of machines, including training for breakdowns and maintenance.
**Requirements:**
- 6–10 years of experience in project management in warehouse/industrial automation, logistics infrastructure, or large-scale industrial projects
- Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams (automation, infrastructure, operations)
- Experience with vendors/OEMs in material handling, conveyors, robotics, or sortation systems
- Excellent vendor management, negotiation, and contract handling skills
- Strong problem-solving, risk management, and execution mindset
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
