Salary: USD 120,000 - 150,000 / annual
Crusoe is a vertically integrated AI infrastructure company building the future of energy and compute. As Project Manager for New Product Introduction (NPI) in Low and Medium Voltage power distribution, you will own the complete industrialization path for new switchboard, switchgear, and skid-integrated product designs—from concept through prototype, certification, first article, and full production release.
This is a builder's role with significant scope and accountability but no direct reports. You will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to transform custom designs into repeatable, manufacturable products. Your core responsibilities include:
- Owning NPI program plans with stage gates, deliverables, and go/no-go production release criteria
- Leading Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews to challenge designs on labor content, part count, standardization, and line compatibility
- Coordinating UL, ANSI/IEEE, seismic, and arc-resistant certification activities with external test labs
- Developing complete production readiness packages: routings, work instructions, station layouts, tooling, fixtures, test procedures, and quality inspection criteria
- Leading prototype and first article builds on the production floor, capturing issues, cycle times, and rework drivers
- Partnering with Supply Chain to qualify new components and suppliers, establish sourcing, and validate lead times
- Establishing and validating target cost and labor standards against pilot build performance
- Coordinating production handoff and ensuring receiving teams have complete, validated build packages
- Maintaining NPI portfolio schedule and reporting status, risk, and gate position to leadership
- Feeding field and factory performance data back into product improvement cycles post-launch
- Completing executive dashboard inputs on schedule position, milestone status, cost/margin, and open risk
You will be measured on whether new products reach stable production—not on prototype success. Your work directly impacts how fast Crusoe can energize compute from sustainable and renewable energy sources.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5+ years managing projects or programs in manufacturing, including direct NPI or product industrialization ownership
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (closely related technical fields considered)
- Working technical knowledge of low-voltage and medium-voltage power distribution equipment and governing standards
- Demonstrated experience developing production routings, work instructions, and manufacturing process documentation
- Experience coordinating product certification or third-party listing activities with external test labs
- Proven cross-functional leadership across engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain without direct authority
- Ability to define scope, structure, and process where none currently exists
- Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office; experience with manufacturing ERP systems (SAP, Visual, or Acumatica preferred)
- Safety and compliance: This is a safety-sensitive position requiring drug and alcohol program participation
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hands-on experience with UL 891, UL 1558, or ANSI C37.20 series equipment development
- Experience introducing medium-voltage products into a facility with primarily low-voltage manufacturing history
- Skid integration or packaged power system experience
- DFMEA, APQP/PPAP, or equivalent methodology training
- Lean or Six Sigma certification
