Hut 8 is building and operating large-scale data centers for next-generation computing workloads including AI, colocation, cloud, and Bitcoin mining. This Project Manager role owns the day-to-day execution machine for data center builds, managing internal teams, EPC partners, and vendors to drive actions, risks, and deliverables to closure. Key Responsibilities: Execution Management: Run the project's operating rhythm through weekly execution meetings, action and decision logs, and deliverable tracking across engineering, supply chain, construction, and commissioning. Clear blockers quickly and escalate with recommendations and trade-offs, not just problems. EPC Partner & Vendor Management: Manage GC/EPC partners, consultants, and vendors against contracted scope, milestones, and quality. Run partner coordination meetings, hold deliverable schedules, manage submittal and RFI throughput jointly with engineering, and coordinate long-lead equipment procurement with the installation schedule. Scope, Risk & Change Support: Guard scope and catch creep early, routing it through the change process. Feed the risk register with emerging design, procurement, and field issues; own assigned mitigation actions; and support the Risk & Change Manager on entitlement and pricing reviews. Cost & Schedule Partnership: Work daily with the Planner/Scheduler and Cost Controller to challenge progress claims, understand critical-path drivers, support forecasts and accrual inputs, and validate invoices against actual progress. Stakeholder Management & Reporting: Produce sharp weekly project status for the Program Director and leadership covering schedule health, top risks, decisions needed, and commitments made. Represent the project in utility, AHJ, customer, and Managed Services coordination as delegated. Commissioning & Turnover: Own the project-management side of the commissioning runway, including Cx prerequisites, vendor technician scheduling, punch velocity, and turnover documentation completeness with the CXQC Field Manager. The role can be based full-time at the project site (Corpus Christi) or out of the Miami headquarters, with frequent travel and extended on-site periods as project needs require. Requirements: - 6+ years of project management on data center, mission-critical, or heavy industrial construction programs, with owner's-side or EPC delivery experience - Proven record running execution across owners, EPC partners, and vendors, driving open items to closure without being asked twice - Working knowledge of construction contracts (GMP/lump sum/EPC), submittal and RFI workflows, and long-lead procurement dynamics - Fluency in P6-driven schedules and earned-value/cost fundamentals to credibly challenge progress claims - Risk and change process literacy: notices, entitlement basics, and disciplined documentation - Excellent written communication; weekly reports must be the project's source of truth - Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field; PMP a plus - Comfortable with significant site presence during peak construction and commissioning (up to 50%) - Calm and decisive under schedule pressure; the person the room looks to when something breaks
