Fimple is a cloud-native fintech platform company serving digital and disruptive financial players with a modern, composable, and extensible infrastructure. The company is seeking an experienced Project Manager based in the UAE to join its PMO team and lead the delivery of international banking and financial technology projects.
In this client-facing role, you will oversee end-to-end project delivery from initiation through implementation and go-live for complex international banking and fintech implementations. You will work closely with international banking customers, internal cross-functional teams (Business, Product, Development, QA, Infrastructure), technology partners, and third-party vendors. Key responsibilities include defining and maintaining project scope, objectives, milestones, timelines, and delivery plans; developing detailed project plans aligned with agreed scope, timeline, budget, and quality expectations; coordinating cross-functional teams; and serving as the primary point of contact between Fimple, customers, and external stakeholders.
This role requires strong communication skills, structured project management capabilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced international environment with geographically distributed teams across multiple time zones. You will lead meetings, communicate effectively with international stakeholders, and manage scope, schedule, budget, resources, dependencies, risks, and issues.
Candidates currently based in the UAE are preferred, and Arabic language skills (spoken and written) are advantageous. International travel based on project and customer requirements is expected.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree is a plus)
- 5+ years of professional experience in project management with a strong track record of delivering technology, software, or implementation projects
- Experience working in banking, financial services, fintech, or banking technology
- Solid understanding of banking products, business processes, and financial services
- Experience managing software implementation or technology projects end-to-end
- Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), testing, and release processes
- Practical knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and/or Hybrid project management methodologies
- Strong stakeholder management experience with business teams, technology teams, customers, and external vendors
- Strong planning and organizational skills with ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, resources, dependencies, risks, and issues
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to lead meetings and communicate with international stakeholders
- Experience working with geographically distributed teams and stakeholders across different countries and time zones
- PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, PSM, or equivalent project management certification (strong plus)
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally based on project and customer requirements
- Preference for candidates currently residing in UAE; candidates willing to relocate to UAE may be considered
- Experience with Arabic-speaking clients or multicultural teams in GCC is an advantage
- Familiarity with UAE banking regulations, Central Bank requirements, payments, compliance, or regulatory reporting is a plus
- UAE or GCC banking experience is a strong advantage, particularly with local financial institutions
