Amplify Education is seeking a Project Management Lead for Science to serve as the operational leader responsible for on-time, in-budget execution and delivery of the company's most critical product portfolios and cross-cutting enterprise initiatives. You will partner with the Head of Product and leadership team on delivery strategy and organizational capability. In this role, you will architect the delivery framework by designing and implementing operating rhythms and artifact/tool standards for your product area, deciding which ceremonies (sprints, milestones, creative reviews) are necessary to maintain momentum. You will direct project delivery by overseeing development and execution of project schedules, dependency maps, and resource plans, communicating project health to teammates, stakeholders, and executives. A key responsibility is bridging the content-software divide—leading synchronization between curriculum writers and software engineers to ensure digital features are ready when content needs them. You will manage team capacity and planning by owning the resource-allocation model, identifying early signs of burnout or under-utilization, and rebalancing staffing or scope before deadlines are at risk. You will drive risk management and issue resolution as the ultimate escalation point for project blockers, leading the charge to identify the fastest path to resolution and communicating recovery plans to stakeholders. Additional responsibilities include managing operational budgets, optimizing the print-to-digital pipeline in collaboration with Supply Chain and Production, owning vendor strategy and managing strategic partners, and pioneering AI efficiency by identifying and implementing AI-powered tools in project management workflows. You will mentor and directly manage a team of project managers, nurturing their development and contributing to project management standards, templates, and tooling decisions across the organization. You are expected to work as a multiplier—managing projects and the people who manage projects—and serve as a high-stakes diplomat resolving major resource or timeline conflicts. You will be radically candid with product and content leads about unrealistic roadmaps, backed by data-driven alternatives, and maintain a standard-bearer approach to quality where "shipped on time" only counts if "shipped with excellence." Amplify serves more than 18 million students and teachers across all 50 states and six continents, operating as a leader in K–12 literacy, biliteracy, math, and science since 2000. REQUIREMENTS: - 5–8 years of experience with increasing people management experience - Proven experience leading project management or operations teams in an EdTech, publishing, or SaaS environment - Deep fluency in Agile/Scrum for software and Waterfall for physical production; ability to make these two "speeds" work together - Experience managing at least 3–5 direct reports, with a track record of hiring, training, and retaining high-performing talent - Comfortable using and configuring advanced PM tools like Jira, Smartsheet, and Notion - Ability to speak fluently with engineers, designers, supply chain teammates, and content writers - Strategic communication skills: ability to synthesize granular project risks into clear health reports for product leadership
