Salary: USD 100,000 - 120,000 / annual

Distro is building a pilot plant facility and seeking a Project Engineer to manage both construction and operational phases. During the construction phase, you will attend and contribute to Hazardous Operability (HAZOP) studies for the pilot plant design, assist in writing Standard Operating Procedures, manage the construction crew on a daily basis, conduct toolbox talks each morning, perform Hazardous Risk Assessments, maintain project schedules with weekly management updates, manage work orders, oversee lockouts and confined space entries, and coordinate occupational hygiene protocols. You will also receive and log all deliveries. During the operations phase, you will supervise operations and maintenance teams, operate equipment as needed, input and manage process data, assist with data analytics and flowsheet optimization, schedule and manage sample analysis with external laboratories, and work flexible hours including potential nightshifts. The role is fast-paced and requires significant self-directed learning. Upon successful completion of pilot plant operations, there is a growth opportunity into a senior role at Western Magnesium. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering with specialization in Chemical, Metallurgical, or Mechanical Engineering - Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Nevada or ability to register as PE in Nevada - 2–5 years of relevant experience, particularly in metallurgical operations - Highly organized with strong multitasking abilities - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - Outstanding interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to make recommendations - Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced, collaborative technical team environment - Good time management and capacity for self-direction - Preference given to candidates with previous metallurgical pilot plant experience and/or industrial plant construction experience - Relocation to Las Vegas, Nevada required
