Hippo is seeking an experienced Program Pricing Actuary to support pricing strategy across a diversified portfolio of third-party P&C programs. Reporting to the Director of Program Actuary, you will drive program price monitoring, planning, and reinsurance placement while informing underwriting decisions and delivering insights that impact growth and risk management. In this role, you will support actuarial pricing for program portfolios across multiple P&C business lines, build frameworks and monitoring tools to support accelerating program growth, and leverage casualty expertise to design and maintain price monitoring frameworks that drive sound underwriting and sustainable profitability. You will collaborate on enterprise views of CAT, capital, and reinsurance costs for property lines, work closely with Underwriting, Claims, Finance, and Reinsurance teams to provide actuarial insights in program evaluation and treaty structuring, and implement governance protocols for pricing reviews and model usage to promote consistency and transparency. You will also assist in defining data model requirements that enable team members to effectively manage program performance. The ideal candidate combines technical actuarial excellence with insurance aptitude and the ability to influence stakeholders across the organization. You should be comfortable making sound pricing calls on thin experience data using industry benchmarks, judgment, and clear assumptions. You will explain actuarial conclusions in plain terms to executives, underwriters, and program partners, and help develop the people around you. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field - ACAS (Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society) credential with robust pricing experience - 4–7 years of actuarial experience with broad exposure to pricing across multiple lines - Experience operating with limited experience data - Demonstrated success applying tools, frameworks, and best practices that drive pricing excellence - Ability to clearly communicate actuarial concepts to executive stakeholders, underwriting teams, and external partners - Active support of team collaboration and development - Proficiency with Excel, SQL, AI tools, and possibly programming languages (R, Python) Nice to haves: Casualty pricing experience and prior program experience.
