Corelight is seeking a Professional Services Engineer to support the deployment and optimization of its network defense platform. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Professional Services, you will work with enterprise customers to prepare equipment configurations, develop detection content, and assess infrastructure health.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare and validate equipment configurations for new customer installations
- Develop custom anomaly detection and threat hunting content tailored to customer needs
- Assess and optimize Corelight infrastructure performance at customer sites
- Help customers improve their cybersecurity posture through process optimization
- Investigate security incidents using Corelight data and Zeek logs
- Design and implement technical integrations with ecosystem partners (packet brokers, asset managers, SOAR platforms)
- Implement queries and dashboards in SIEM platforms (Splunk, Elastic, Humio)
- Conduct network testing to validate Corelight product functionality
- Develop playbooks for SOC and incident response workflow automation
- Work with backend tools including Kafka and Logstash
- Document data import processes and threat intelligence integration
- Provide knowledge transfer and act as a technical expert to customers
- Collaborate with product management on feature requests and integrations
- Deliver written reports on equipment health and security findings
You should be a strategic thinker with strong networking and security fundamentals, capable of working independently while influencing both customers and internal teams. The role combines hands-on technical work with customer-facing advisory responsibilities.
