Abacum is a leading Business Planning solution for finance teams, founded in 2020 by two former CFOs. The company automates reporting, enables collaboration, and simplifies planning and forecasting to help finance teams shift from number crunching to strategic decision-making. Abacum has grown to 100+ employees across 30+ nationalities, with offices in New York, Toronto, and Barcelona. The company is backed by $100M+ in funding, including a $60M Series B led by Scale Venture Partners. As a Professional Services Associate, you will drive customer success and value realization on the Abacum platform. This role requires strong client-facing communication skills, with comfort presenting to and influencing senior finance stakeholders. You will explain financial and technical concepts clearly to both clients and internal stakeholders, and work within SaaS project tools and Agile/hybrid methodologies. The company values Customer Obsession, Audacious Ambition, Good People, and Tough Love, fostering a culture of honest feedback and radical candor. REQUIREMENTS: - 2+ years of hands-on experience implementing a financial planning/EPM platform (such as Anaplan, Adaptive, Drivetrain, Pigment, or similar) — this is a requirement, not a nice-to-have - Ability to explain financial and technical concepts clearly to clients and internal stakeholders - Working knowledge of FP&A processes (budgeting, forecasting, reporting, consolidation), with ability to challenge client assumptions, not just document them - Proficiency with Excel and ability to build financial models - Experience with SaaS project tools and Agile/hybrid methodologies - Strong client-facing communication skills, comfortable presenting to and influencing senior finance stakeholders - Formal Project Management Qualifications are a plus, not a requirement
