Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Production Test Engineering Manager to lead the manufacturing test engineering team for electromagnetic warfare (EW) hardware systems. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on technical leadership, ensuring rigorous testing protocols deliver superior quality products at scale.
You will direct the manufacturing test engineering team, setting objectives and assessing outcomes. Key responsibilities include overseeing and improving manufacturing test strategies for each product to enable scalable operations across Anduril, transitioning from pre-production (LRIP) to full-scale output (FRP). You'll collaborate with product systems engineering and development teams on design testability and seamless production integration.
Your strategic focus will be advancing manufacturing testing through automation, uniformity, and operational streamlining. You'll maintain test capabilities across multiple products—from system-level checkouts and acceptance testing to component-level in-process validation. You'll evaluate test data, identify opportunities for product and process enhancements, and communicate strategic visions to key stakeholders.
Additional responsibilities include leading procurement and implementation of new test equipment with cost-benefit and ROI analyses, championing initiatives that enhance safety, reduce costs, improve quality, and increase productivity. You'll cultivate a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the engineering department, and serve as the technical authority for manufacturing test matters, advising on and troubleshooting complex issues. You'll also design proactive maintenance and calibration protocols for manufacturing test equipment.
