Divergent is building advanced manufacturing and engineering solutions for automotive OEMs and aerospace/defense companies. The Production Project Planner works closely with Program Managers, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to build and maintain program schedules from proposal through part release and delivery. Key responsibilities include: • Partner with PMO and engineering during proposal phase to develop detailed schedules with design and release milestones, continuously updating as design progresses and communicating changes to stakeholders. • Monitor real-time progress against schedule, flag variances, and work with engineering leads to implement corrective actions keeping part release on-time. • Build and maintain multi-material program plans accounting for differing lead times, qualification paths, and process maturity of each material system, sequencing work so governing constraints drive the schedule. • Develop planning processes for multi-factory programs, defining scope allocation between sites, schedule synchronization, and capacity/tooling/material balancing across the network. • Plan inter-factory logistics connecting multi-site programs, including material and sub-assembly movement, transit and customs lead times, packaging, containerization, and buffer/inventory placement. • Define and document hand-off points and data requirements between sites and material streams (routings, work-center definitions, traveler and revision control) enabling parts released at one factory to be planned and built at another. • Maintain and collaborate with data teams developing tools for professional status reporting and program health visibility rolling up across materials, sites, and logistics lanes. • Participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings ensuring demand, supply, and production plans synchronize across sales, engineering, manufacturing, and sites. • Identify gaps in scheduling or supply-chain processes, propose enhancements, apply lessons-learned, and codify repeatable planning standards scaling to new materials, factories, and programs. • Achieve 99% on-time delivery targets. The role is on-site, working across engineering, production, and warehouse areas with periodic travel to other Divergent sites and supplier/logistics partner locations. The environment is fast-paced and cross-functional with regular exposure to active manufacturing floors requiring personal protective equipment. REQUIREMENTS: Basic Qualifications: • Ability to lawfully access information and technology subject to US export controls • Proven, progressing track record in planning, operations, manufacturing, supply chain management, or consulting • Experience building and maintaining integrated program schedules with defined milestones, dependencies, and critical path • Exposure to planning or coordinating work across more than one production site, process, or material system, including material movement between them • Experience using Microsoft Office • Solid interpersonal skills; self-starter who can manage personal workload and execution to tight schedules Preferred Qualifications: • Demonstrated experience in start-up, consulting, or similar high-growth, fast-paced, rapidly changing environment • Direct experience planning multi-site or multi-factory manufacturing programs, including inter-site logistics, transit and customs lead times, and buffer strategy • Experience across more than one manufacturing process family (additive, casting, machining, composites, extrusion, joining) and understanding of how their lead times and qualification paths differ • Experience writing, rolling out, and driving adoption of new planning or supply-chain processes and work instructions • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and project scheduling tools (Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Primavera) • Successful collaboration in team environments ensuring cross-functional requirements are met • Advanced Excel skills; comfort with data and visualization tools (SQL, Power BI, Tableau) a plus • Strong communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills
