Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, seeks a Production Program Manager for the Barracuda program. Reporting to the Head of Production, you will oversee the manufacturing and production lifecycle, working cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, operations, quality, program management, and leadership teams. Key responsibilities include driving process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness during development and pre-production phases. You will monitor project budgets, track progress, and identify solutions to enable successful transition to full-scale production. Regular stakeholder communication is essential—providing transparency on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies to internal teams and leadership. Resource management is critical: you'll ensure appropriate allocation of materials, labor, and equipment to meet production readiness goals. You will identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks and roadblocks that could impact project timelines or operational readiness. Cross-functional collaboration between engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, program management, growth, quality, and leadership teams is central to aligning pre-production efforts with business objectives. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field, plus 8+ years of experience in operations program management, production, or manufacturing, preferably in defense, aerospace, or complex hardware industries. You must have strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and production workflows, with experience launching new products on condensed timelines. Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Lean, TPS, Six Sigma) and tools (Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Gantt Charts) is required. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills are essential. You must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. security clearance. Preferred qualifications include experience in defense, aerospace, or automotive manufacturing, and familiarity with ERP, MRP, MES, or PLM systems. Approximately 25% travel is expected. This role offers the opportunity to shape cutting-edge military capabilities and drive the transition of advanced technology from prototype to scalable production.
