Salary: USD 129,000 - 171,000 / annual
Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is building next-generation AI-driven maritime manufacturing facilities. This Production Planning and Scheduling Engineer role owns the integrated master schedule (IMS) for a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility producing advanced autonomous maritime systems.
You will be responsible for the overall standup and management of the production process schedule, driving rate readiness through rigorous planning, analysis, and cross-functional coordination. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining the integrated master plan and integrated master schedule for module production, coordinating across engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality functions
- Identifying and resolving critical path conflicts, communicating schedule impacts and root causes to the program
- Managing shop load and dispatch decisions based on real material availability, qualified labor capacity, and open nonconformances
- Tracking schedule adherence and earned value metrics, feeding variance analysis back into planning cycles
- Re-baselining schedules when program changes occur, with supporting risk analysis
Required qualifications include 4+ years in production planning, production control, or master scheduling in shipbuilding, aerospace, or heavy manufacturing. You must have demonstrated program-level planning experience, having built and maintained real integrated schedules for complex manufacturing or defense programs while managing critical path through material and labor constraints. Proficiency with scheduling tools (P6, MS Project, Open Plan, Aurora) and ERP/MES systems (Forge, Odoo, SAP, Solumina, Oracle) is essential.
You must be a U.S. Person eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance due to access to export-controlled information. No degree is required; apprenticeship, Navy Nuclear Power School, military experience, or trade paths to planning are valued.
Preferred qualifications include submarine or surface-ship construction experience, critical chain/theory of constraints knowledge, earned value management expertise, greenfield production line standup experience, defense manufacturing background, digital-native proficiency, and PMP/PMI-SP certification.
