Misfits Market is a mission-driven, high-growth e-commerce startup focused on reducing food waste by delivering organic produce, high-quality meats, seafood, plant-based proteins, dairy, bakery, wine, and other grocery items to nearly every zip code in 48 states at up to 30% off traditional grocery store prices. The company acquired Imperfect Foods in 2022 and operates an in-house transportation network with one of the most carbon-efficient grocery delivery models on the market. To date, Misfits has saved over 190 million pounds of food from waste. As Production Manager, you will drive the overall performance and success of daily operations in a food-based fulfillment center. You will manage scheduling, oversee daily operations reports, and increase production by providing leadership and developing strategic action plans. This role requires managing key aspects of the supply chain, leading and coordinating various teams to ensure seamless and optimized operations. Key responsibilities include: maintaining a safety-first culture and meeting OSHA, AIB, GMP, HACCP, FSSC, and FDA standards; overseeing day-to-day FC operations and preparing operating reports with KPIs; leading and motivating large cross-functional teams including receiving, production, inventory control, and shipping; championing continuous improvement initiatives and implementing new processes; fostering effective communication and collaboration across departments; developing a high-performing site leadership team with clear goals and career development; analyzing production data and conducting root cause analysis; and building strong professional relationships with direct reports and HR partners. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent interpersonal communication skills, strong logical reasoning, and the ability to balance day-to-day warehouse floor operations with strategic change management and team development.
