Distro is seeking a Product/Business Analyst to join its product team, focusing on HCM and HR technology platforms. This role sits at the intersection of product strategy and execution, requiring someone who can translate business needs into clear technical requirements and manage complex platform initiatives across distributed teams.
You will own the full lifecycle of requirements management: writing comprehensive user stories in Jira or Azure DevOps, eliciting and documenting acceptance criteria, user personas, non-functional requirements, and process flows. You'll communicate complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment across onshore, near-shore, and off-shore development teams.
Key responsibilities include leading and managing multiple platform initiatives simultaneously while keeping them aligned with strategic objectives and delivery timelines. You'll create technical and end-user documentation for platform capabilities, manage a prioritized backlog organized into Epics, features, and stories, and collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to drive platform decisions. The role also involves market research, competitive analysis, and user feedback gathering to inform product direction.
This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced environment where you'll need to juggle multiple priorities, stay current with new tools and technologies, and demonstrate a genuine commitment to continuous learning in the HCM/HR tech space.
Requirements:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency with Office 365 tools (Outlook, Teams)
- Extensive experience writing user stories and managing requirements in Agile environments
- Solid understanding of HCM and HR technology platforms (familiarity is a plus; deeper experience is valued)
- Proven experience with Jira or Azure DevOps
- Experience creating technical and end-user documentation
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse, distributed development teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to navigate complex challenges
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver in a fast-paced environment
