Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology, AI, autonomy, and computer vision. The Maritime Division is scaling at historic pace, anchored by Arsenal-2, a new software-defined shipyard in Baltimore County, Maryland, as part of a $6.6 billion investment in America's submarine industrial base. This role is based at Anduril's 160,000 square foot Proto-Factory in Orange County, California, which serves as the prototyping hub for Arsenal-2. As a Product Support Engineer, you will be a critical individual contributor within the rapidly growing Maritime team, driving the development and implementation of comprehensive sustainment strategies for cutting-edge defense products. You will own product support analysis and sustainment cost for a fleet of maritime autonomous vehicles, reporting to the Support System Lead. Your responsibilities include building the life cycle cost model, running analysis that determines how the fleet gets supported, and translating reliability and maintenance data into provisioning, manning, and cost projections. Sustainment represents the majority of a platform's lifetime cost, and this role owns understanding it before design decisions lock in those costs. Key responsibilities include: developing and maintaining comprehensive sustainment plans; partnering with customers, operations, and cross-functional engineering teams to define and improve maintenance and repair strategies; ensuring availability of up-to-date maintenance procedures, tools, and technical manuals; serving as primary point of contact for sustainment matters; collaborating with design and manufacturing teams to integrate best sustainment practices early in product development; creating and maintaining Service Bill of Materials and other sustainment artifacts; building and maintaining the life cycle cost estimate and operating and support cost model with sensitivity analysis; performing product support analysis covering provisioning, manning, facilities, and support equipment; producing O&S cost estimates as design matures; running cost trade studies on sustainment approaches; developing spares and provisioning plans; defining product support strategy and logistics architecture; producing cost and supportability analysis for customer deliverables and program reviews; and establishing data pipelines that convert reliability and maintenance data into cost projections. REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, Economics, Finance, or equivalent - 5+ years of experience in product support, sustainment engineering, or systems engineering roles within a high-rigor environment (defense, aerospace, advanced robotics, complex industrial systems) - Demonstrated detailed and extensive technical expertise in applying mechanical or systems engineering principles to complex hardware systems - Experience building or maintaining a life cycle cost or operating and support (O&S) cost model and presenting results to program or customer audiences - Direct experience with sustainment methodologies such as Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA), Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), or developing Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) plans - Foundational understanding and practical application of Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements, principles, and concepts (maintenance planning, supply support, technical data management, support equipment, training, facilities) - Familiarity with military standards, specifications, and regulatory compliance relevant to product support and sustainment activities - Proven ability to work effectively in dynamic, unstructured environments, adapt to rapidly changing priorities, and quickly learn new technologies and complex systems - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to synthesize complex technical and quantitative data into clear, concise decision statements for diverse audiences - Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance
