Anduril Industries is seeking a Product Support Engineer to join the Deployment Engineering team, responsible for the operational success of cutting-edge defense technology systems. This is a critical individual contributor role focused on developing and implementing comprehensive sustainment strategies for advanced defense products.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain ground-up sustainment plans for assigned products, ensuring operational readiness and longevity
- Partner with customers, operations teams, and cross-functional engineering teams to define and improve maintenance and repair strategies
- Ensure availability of up-to-date maintenance procedures, specialized tools, and accurate technical manuals for field operations
- Serve as primary point of contact for all sustainment-related matters within assigned product teams
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineering teams during product development to integrate best sustainment practices and design-for-supportability concepts
- Create and maintain Service Bills of Materials (SBOM) and other critical sustainment artifacts including provisioning lists and support equipment lists
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in product support, sustainment engineering, or systems engineering in high-rigor environments (defense, aerospace, advanced robotics, complex industrial systems)
- Demonstrated technical expertise applying mechanical or systems engineering principles to complex hardware systems
- Hands-on proficiency with professional CAD software and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools
- Foundational understanding of Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements and principles
- Familiarity with military standards, specifications, and regulatory compliance
- Eligible to obtain and maintain active U.S. Secret security clearance
- Ability to travel for on-site support, field deployments, and customer engagements
Preferred qualifications include Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering; experience with sustainment methodologies (MTA, LORA, RCM, CLS); proven track record developing customer-facing sustainment deliverables; hands-on experience with enterprise tools (Siemens NX, Teamcenter, JIRA, Oracle); direct experience with complex military, robotics, or unmanned systems; and understanding of Technical Data Packages.
