Anduril Industries is seeking a Product Support Engineer to join the Dive-XL team, supporting the operational fleet of Extra Large Autonomous Undersea Vehicles (AUVs). This role sits at the intersection of field operations and engineering design, responsible for maximizing fleet availability and driving reliability improvements. You will provide on-call engineering support to teams operating and maintaining fielded AUVs on a rotating roster, including out-of-hours availability. Key responsibilities include: diagnosing complex faults from logs, telemetry, and maintenance history; leading root cause investigations to defensible conclusions; chairing Material Review Board dispositions; and managing fleet-wide system limitations. You'll translate fleet data into engineering recommendations, drive changes through design teams, and build monitoring and diagnostic tooling to surface problems proactively. Additional duties include authoring and distributing service bulletins, creating operations and maintenance publications, governing as-maintained configuration and software bill of materials (SBOM), and tracking incorporation of changes across the entire fleet. Required qualifications include 5+ years of professional experience in software, electrical, mechanical, mechatronic, or systems engineering on complex systems. You must demonstrate the ability to independently root cause difficult, ambiguous faults from limited data, with hands-on experience in operational, field, integration, test, production, or maintenance environments. Strong engineering judgment under time pressure, excellent coordination and communication skills, and experience with configuration management and engineering change processes are essential. Experience with robotic and/or autonomous systems in maritime environments is advantageous. Ability to obtain and maintain an NV2 Security Clearance is required.
