Halter is a fast-growing agritech company transforming pasture-based grazing through innovative cattle collar technology and software. The company enables farmers and graziers to virtually fence and shift cattle, monitor locations and behavior, and optimize operations without traditional infrastructure like quad bikes, dogs, or physical fences.
As Product Specialist for Cattle in Argentina, you'll be Halter's on-the-ground representative launching the product in South America. This is a pioneer role requiring hands-on field work, not desk-based activity. You'll deploy Halter with the company's earliest South American customers, learning what it takes to make the product work brilliantly in this regional context.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deploying Halter directly onto farms with early-stage customers
- Building deep relationships with pioneering producers to understand their operations and needs
- Translating field learnings into clear, actionable feedback for the product and engineering teams in New Zealand
- Educating the company on South American cattle production nuances—animals, land, practices, regional context
- Critically evaluating the product end-to-end and identifying gaps, improvements, and new features
- Ensuring early customers achieve real results and maximize Halter's value
- Maintaining alignment across the commercial team as the market scales
- Traveling nationally and internationally as needed
You must have hands-on experience in South American cattle production. You're passionate about animals and agriculture's future in the region, tech-savvy and curious about how products work technically, and a strong communicator who translates field observations into engineering-ready insights. You think critically, thrive in ambiguity, learn quickly, and have a relentless get-stuff-done attitude. Spanish fluency is required; English proficiency is a strong advantage for collaborating with headquarters in New Zealand. Flexibility and willingness to work weekends when needed are essential.
