Salary: USD 129,000 - 171,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. The company develops mission-critical systems powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that integrates thousands of data streams into real-time 3D command and control centers.
As Product Sourcing Engineer, Semiconductor, you will serve as the domain expert for semiconductor commodities across Anduril's Intelligence Systems. This is a high-impact, proactive role focused on securing critical components, materials, and services that power mission-critical hardware.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes for strategic semiconductor components from inception to award
- Performing detailed cost-breakdown analyses and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) modeling to drive data-backed sourcing decisions
- Leading daily or weekly operational escalation forums to triage supply disruptions, resolve critical component shortages, and resolve production-line blockers
- Partnering with Engineering teams early in the development cycle to influence design specifications based on supply chain intelligence, availability, and lifecycle health
- Working closely with PCBA Contract Manufacturers (CMs) to resolve component shortages and ensure Clear-to-Build (CTB) milestones are met
- Developing and executing long-term strategies for semiconductor components focused on cost reduction and supply chain resilience
- Drafting, negotiating, and executing commercial agreements covering pricing, lead times, capacity commitments, warranties, and payment terms
- Monitoring global semiconductor market dynamics, fab capacity constraints, lead-time trends, geopolitical impacts, and technological shifts to identify supply risks and cost-saving opportunities
- Owning end-to-end supplier relationship management, tracking key metrics across quality, delivery, cost, and innovation
The role requires on-site presence in Costa Mesa, CA with up to 15% travel. Relocation is required if not local.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, commodity management, or sourcing engineering with focus on semiconductor components
- Proven ability to analyze cost structures and negotiate complex commercial contracts
- Eligible for U.S. Secret or TS clearance and ability to maintain clearance
- Ability to travel up to 15%
- Ability to work on-site in Costa Mesa, CA
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field
- Prior experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, or high-reliability hardware industries
- Advanced expertise in TCO modeling and component lifecycle management
- Track record of building strong cross-functional relationships with Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams
- Highly adaptable self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
- Ability to obtain and maintain active U.S. Secret security clearance
