Salary: USD 130,000 - 180,000 / annual
Chime is seeking a Product Security Engineer to join its Product Security team. This role focuses on securing identity platforms, SaaS applications, endpoints, and core technologies used by employees and business partners. You will design and implement security controls, automate repetitive security tasks, investigate and remediate security findings, and partner with engineering teams to strengthen overall security posture.
Key responsibilities include owning security of enterprise SaaS and identity platforms (Google Workspace, Okta/IdP); designing and implementing endpoint security controls (EDR, MDM, device compliance) across corporate devices; developing automation and workflows to streamline detection and reporting of security findings; contributing to tracking and remediation of discovered vulnerabilities across SaaS, identity, and endpoint surfaces; and partnering cross-functionally with other teams on shared security initiatives.
You will have opportunities to collaborate with engineers across different security domains, providing exposure to a broad range of security challenges and opportunities to expand technical expertise. The role leverages AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and includes supporting the secure adoption of AI technologies across the environment.
Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of experience in security, IT, or systems engineering with enthusiasm for enterprise security. Required skills include hands-on experience administering Google Workspace, Okta or another IdP, and understanding of SSO/SAML/SCIM concepts; knowledge of security principles for SaaS and cloud applications; experience with infrastructure as code or configuration management tools (ideally Terraform); scripting or software development experience in Python, Go, Ruby, or similar languages; and a collaborative mindset. AWS and/or GCP experience is a plus.
