Wave is Africa's leading mobile money platform, operating across 9 countries with millions of users. The company is building financial services designed for emerging markets—no account fees, instant availability, and broad merchant acceptance. Wave is now the largest financial institution in Senegal and Côte d'Ivoire.
The Product Relations Manager owns the product and technical dimension of Wave's external partner integrations. You serve as the bridge between partners (banks, telcos, utility companies, government agencies) and Wave's product and engineering teams. You are responsible for evaluating, shaping, shipping, and maintaining integrations that power the ecosystem.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining partner relationships, driving integrations end-to-end from scoping through development, testing, production launch, and post-launch maintenance
- Evaluating prospective partners' technical readiness and providing go/no-go recommendations before contracts are signed
- Leading technical scoping with partners and translating requirements into engineering specifications
- Holding partners accountable for delivery and escalating firmly when work stalls
- Monitoring integration health post-launch and driving resolution when performance degrades
- Identifying opportunities to expand or deepen existing partnerships
- Making build-vs-buy and direct-vs-aggregator decisions grounded in data and strategic context
- Leading cross-functional execution across Engineering, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Marketing, Support, and Partner Operations
- Using transaction data and operational metrics to inform prioritization
- Contributing to standardizing integration processes and playbooks across markets
You'll be based in Wave's Senegal office with travel to partner offices and field locations across markets. This is a permanent position with mission-based deployments.
