Apptronik is a Series B human-centered robotics company developing AI-powered humanoid robots (Apollo) for manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, and beyond. As Product Quality Manager, you will lead the Quality team and drive product quality standards across the full product lifecycle—from prototype development through mass production.
You will oversee a Quality team (IQC, IPQC, Quality Engineers) and own the bug/issue resolution process, documenting defects and driving corrective actions across hardware design, operations, and software teams. Key responsibilities include consolidating issues into dashboards for leadership visibility, developing product quality plans for contract manufacturers, auditing PPAP submissions, monitoring factory yields and RMA lines, and establishing outgoing quality control and customer audit procedures. You will travel internationally up to 20% to support manufacturing partners and quality audits.
Required qualifications: BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; 5+ years in Quality, Process, or similar engineering roles. You must have strong understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering fundamentals, manufacturing processes, and hardware test/fixture development. Expertise in statistical analysis tools (GR&R, SPC, Cpk, 5WHY, Fishbone) and data analysis is essential. Experience supporting new product launches from manufacturing or product development perspective, team management with coaching/feedback skills, and proficiency with business software (Microsoft Office, JIRA, G-Suite, Dropbox) required.
Nice-to-have: 5+ years with international contract manufacturing or high-volume manufacturing; PPAP experience; English/Spanish bilingual capability.
