Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Product Quality Engineer to drive quality processes for advanced missile programs. You will work across design, manufacturing, and customer teams to define and execute processes that deliver high-quality missile systems powered by Lattice OS, Anduril's AI-powered operating system.
In this role, you will own product quality throughout the development and production lifecycle. Key responsibilities include driving product development using quality planning, inspection, acceptance testing, verification, validation, and qualification processes. You will champion the transition from new product introduction (NPI) to sustainable, high-rate manufacturing, and eliminate product risk to improve reliability across the product lifecycle.
You will lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) and Material Review Board (MRB) activities, establish quality metrics and data analysis programs, and support continuous improvement of the Quality Management System. You will develop comprehensive quality plans (APQP-style) for missile projects, define manufacturing process qualifications including PPAP/FAI and inspection methods, and lead the transition from engineering qualification to manufacturing variance testing.
Additionally, you will matrix-lead supplier quality engineers supporting design and development activities with external partners. This role requires hands-on collaboration with engineering teams, manufacturing partners, and customer-facing stakeholders to deliver to customer requirements and drive results.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field, and direct experience in engineering, manufacturing, or quality on missile or high-velocity vehicle systems. You must have working knowledge of missile system design review, quality management, PCBA, avionics, systems integration, composites, propulsion, and lethality systems. Proficiency in FMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA, and GD&T is essential. Strong analytical skills, project ownership mindset, and ability to drive initiatives from conception to completion are critical.
