Platform Science is an open IoT platform founded in 2015 that connects fleets, app developers, vehicle manufacturers, and equipment suppliers in the transportation sector to deliver innovative solutions to supply chain professionals worldwide.
We are seeking a mid-level Product Owner to join our product execution and delivery team. You will receive a structured roadmap from the Product Manager and will be responsible for managing all tactical activities required to transform that roadmap into continuous delivery. This is a delivery-focused role emphasizing predictability, smooth agile ceremonies, and blocker removal to ensure the development team has clarity and delivery momentum.
You will be part of a multidisciplinary team (Product, Data/AI, and Engineering) focused on building user-centric solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog based on the roadmap defined by the Product Manager
- Conduct refinement sessions to ensure items are clear, testable, and ready for development (Definition of Ready)
- Plan sprints with the development team, balancing capacity, priority, and dependencies
- Facilitate or support agile ceremonies (planning, daily standup, review, retrospective)
- Provide daily support to the development team, clarifying requirements and removing blockers
- Validate deliverables (Definition of Done) and ensure adherence to planned scope
- Report progress, risks, and impediments transparently to the Product Manager and stakeholders
- Maintain updated and accessible backlog documentation and acceptance criteria
Requirements:
- Mastery of agile practices (Scrum and/or Kanban) and associated ceremonies
- Strong communication skills with technical teams and workflow organization ability
- Comfortable executing against a defined roadmap without needing to redefine product strategy
- Adaptability to AI-augmented workflows: ability to learn and quickly integrate new AI tools into daily processes, automating repetitive tasks and focusing on creative problem-solving
Desirable Qualifications:
- English proficiency for collaboration with global teams
- Agile methodology certification (CSPO, PSPO, or similar)
- Experience with flow and delivery metrics (lead time, cycle time, throughput, DORA metrics)
