Anduril Industries is a defense technology company building autonomous maritime platforms—undersea and surface vehicles, systems, and seabed sensors. The Maritime team develops products like Dive-LD, Dive-XL, Copperhead, and Seabed Sentry from concept to operational deployment.
As Product Operations Manager for Maritime, you will lead the Product Operations function within the deployment and sustainment group, ensuring reliability and readiness of Anduril's autonomous undersea systems. You will manage a high-performing Product Operations team and serve as the critical bridge between deeply technical engineering teams, business development stakeholders, and military operators in the field.
Key responsibilities include:
• Lead and mentor a Product Operations team, setting standards for how the organization triages, diagnoses, and resolves technical incidents across the global Maritime fleet.
• Partner directly with software and hardware engineering teams to translate real-world field telemetry and failure data into permanent system upgrades and design improvements.
• Oversee collection and analysis of fleet health data using advanced data-driven tools to predict and prevent failures before they occur.
• Support end users by building field failure discovery, mitigation, and resolution processes; identify failure modes contributing to root cause analysis.
• Manage communications around high-priority incidents and drive them to rapid resolution, ensuring exceptional technical support for global users.
• Standardize and scale sustainment operations, creating processes that will support Maritime as the fleet grows exponentially worldwide.
• Travel as needed to support customer operations and test events.
This role requires a strong problem-solving mindset and hands-on expertise in debugging and resolving complex electromechanical issues. You will work in close coordination with specialist teams including engineering, program management, and field operations.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 6+ years of professional experience managing, mastering, and supporting complex technical systems (maritime, aerospace, robotics, automotive, defense, or electromechanical systems).
• Bachelor's degree in a technical or related field, OR equivalent hands-on military, maritime, or industrial technical experience.
• Proven ability to navigate ambiguous situations and lead teams through complex, unstructured technical challenges.
• Experience managing, coaching, or leading technical teams, with a focus on professional development and operational excellence.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security clearance.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Quincy, MA. Relocation assistance is provided.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience supporting and/or deploying undersea munitions, vehicles, or unmanned undersea systems (UUVs) as a DoD contractor or military end-user.
• Familiarity with conventional naval systems or military naval operations.
• Hands-on experience with Linux command-line interfaces (CLI).
• Familiarity with modern observability and ticketing tools (Grafana, Jira, Git).
• Experience leveraging data analytics (SQL, Palantir Foundry) to conduct trend analysis and drive business decisions.
• Prior military, DoD civilian, or government agency experience.
• Background in technical project management or operations consulting.
