Saronic Technologies is seeking a Product Manager to drive strategy, development, and delivery of autonomous maritime platforms for defense and commercial applications. This role sits at the intersection of hardware, software, and defense procurement—requiring someone who can navigate both technical complexity and government stakeholder dynamics. You will own the full product lifecycle: developing comprehensive product strategy aligned to Saronic's vision while accounting for defense and commercial requirements; overseeing development from concept through scaled production; creating and maintaining detailed product roadmaps that balance programmatic obligations, market demands, and R&D objectives; and engaging with Department of War (DoW) and commercial maritime stakeholders to understand needs and ensure alignment. Key responsibilities include analyzing operational needs, market trends, competition, and user feedback to identify differentiation opportunities; facilitating thorough testing and validation for autonomy, security, reliability, and performance; coordinating across Engineering, Production, Growth, and Programs to deliver on schedule and within budget; and serving as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries and feedback. This is a senior individual-contributor role with significant cross-functional influence. You will work closely with program managers, engineers, end-users, and senior leadership, requiring diplomatic skills, mature communication (presentations, memos, briefings), and the ability to foster collaborative, innovation-focused team culture. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field - Strong technical background with knowledge of autonomous systems and constituent technologies (sensors/perception, radios/networking, structures/mechanical design, board design/electrical architectures) - Proven experience in product management, preferably in defense or maritime industry, with focus on autonomous systems - Familiarity with DoW procurement processes, regulations, and compliance requirements - Shrewd judgment and keen sense for product differentiation - Diplomatic disposition with proven track record of cross-functional collaboration - Mature written and verbal communication skills - U.S. Person status required (U.S. citizen, green card holder, or protected asylee/refugee)
