Airbnb is seeking a Product Manager for Trips, a core product experience where guests see their reservations, plan activities, coordinate with travel companions, and book experiences and services for their stay. This role owns the feature roadmap for much of the Trips program, working backwards from guest needs to drive growth in experiences, services, and ancillary bookings.
You will lead cross-functional teams (engineering, design, data science, program management) from concept through launch and iteration, often managing multiple features in flight simultaneously. Key responsibilities include:
- Translating business goals into product briefs and requirements grounded in real guest needs
- Driving execution across engineering, design, data science, and program management from concept to launch
- Shaping in-app placements, personalized ranking, offers, and lifecycle messaging to encourage additional bookings
- Collaborating with supply, partnerships, and operations teams to ensure relevant, available, and easy-to-book offerings
- Partnering with data scientists and engineers on experiments, synthesizing results, and making clear calls on what to scale, iterate, or stop
- Making prioritization decisions when guest experience, business impact, and engineering cost conflict
- Presenting strategy and results to leadership, distilling complex tradeoffs into clear narratives
This is an individual contributor role with significant scope and influence over product direction, but does not involve managing people directly.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years in product marketing or product management with a track record of moving core growth metrics (conversion, attach, frequency, or revenue per customer) through features you led to launch
- Strong execution: led cross-functional teams through complex launches on time and at high quality, often with multiple features in flight
- Experience working on two-sided marketplaces or multi-product platforms, balancing customer needs with supply and partner success
- Fluent in experiment results: can define test objectives, read growth metrics alongside guardrails (satisfaction, retention), and translate into product decisions
- Strong judgment of consumer product quality and understanding of what makes experiences useful and delightful
- Ability to earn trust of engineering, design, and data science partners and lead without formal authority
- Clear, structured communicator who can distill complex tradeoffs for executives and translate strategy into actionable guidance
- Preferred: experience at a fast-growing consumer marketplace launching a new category or business line
Note: Must be able to work Pacific Time Zone hours as needed and live in a US state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity (see careers.airbnb.com for exclusion list).
