Maybern is building an operating system for private fund management, combining deterministic guard rails with AI agents to help fund managers automate complex workflows while maintaining trust and control. The company is Series B-backed and NYC-based with a strong in-office culture. In this role, you will own a meaningful product area end-to-end within Maybern's agentic platform. You'll set vision, strategy, and roadmap for your area, partnering closely with engineering and design from discovery through launch and iteration. You'll define metrics that demonstrate value delivery and use them to drive product decisions. Key responsibilities include: - Owning a product area end-to-end: setting vision, strategy, and roadmap while partnering with engineering and design to move problems from discovery through launch and iteration - Staying close to customers: spending real time with users to understand their needs and turning insights into a prioritized view of what would meaningfully improve their work - Building agentic products: designing for a world where agents do real work in the product—running analysis, answering follow-ups, drafting outputs, checking their own answers—while humans maintain oversight - Working AI-first: using AI to compress the product cycle from customer synthesis to prototyping and spec drafting, and helping level up how Product, Design, and Engineering collaborate - Collaborating cross-functionally: working with Implementation, Customer Success, and Sales to ensure shipped features translate into faster onboarding, happier customers, and more durable products You should have exceptional product sense, strong instincts for what users need, and the ability to distinguish between feature requests and underlying problems. You're customer-obsessed, measuring your work by customer value delivered. You think in systems and abstractions—comfortable diving into technical details and fixing small bugs yourself rather than logging tickets. You're AI-native: agents are already central to how you work, and you have hands-on intuition for what modern models are good at, where they fail, and what it takes to make their output trustworthy enough to act on. You're an owner who thrives in ambiguity and can take broad direction to find the best path forward. You see both forest and trees: thinking big picture while executing fine details. REQUIREMENTS: - 4–6 years of product management experience with a track record of leading cross-functional teams of engineers and designers end-to-end from ideation through launch and iteration - Shipped products in complex domains where getting details right matters - Built with agents yourself—shipping AI-powered or agentic features, building agents and workflows that do real work, or both—with opinions on how products should be designed for both human and agent users (e.g., MCP, tool use, evals) - Clear communication and strong collaboration across all organizational levels - Obsessed with details and excited to "get into the weeds" - Experience with financial, analytical, or data-heavy software is a plus but not required
