Platform Science is an open IoT platform founded in 2015 that connects fleets, app developers, vehicle manufacturers, and equipment suppliers in the transportation sector to deliver innovative solutions to supply chain professionals worldwide. We are seeking a mid-level Product Manager to lead product discovery efforts with direct customer engagement in the field. You will identify real customer problems, transform them into product opportunities, and drive refinement and prioritization of these demands with the development team. This is a discovery-focused role where the emphasis is on understanding the problem before rushing to solutions, bringing market and customer evidence to guide roadmap decisions. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct structured visits and conversations with customers to identify pain points, needs, and product opportunities - Synthesize field learnings (interviews, usage data, CX/sales feedback) into actionable insights - Transform identified demands into well-defined problems, testable hypotheses, and backlog items - Prioritize initiatives based on customer impact, technical feasibility, and strategic alignment - Lead refinement sessions with the development team, ensuring clear understanding of problems to be solved - Validate proposed solutions with customers before and after delivery (continuous discovery) - Maintain and communicate the product roadmap with clear justification of priorities to internal and external stakeholders - Work within a multidisciplinary team (Product, Data/AI, Engineering) focused on building user-centric solutions Requirements: - Prior experience as a Product Manager with direct involvement in customer research and validation - Experience with discovery techniques (interviews, hypothesis testing, prototyping, qualitative and quantitative research) - Ability to translate business/customer needs into clear requirements for technical teams - Familiarity with prioritization frameworks (e.g., RICE, Cost vs. Value) - Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence without formal authority - Comfort with ambiguity and problem definition, not just solution building - Adaptability to AI-augmented workflows; ability to learn and quickly integrate new AI tools into daily work, automating repetitive tasks and focusing on creative problem-solving - Adequate English proficiency to collaborate with global teams - Preferred: experience in fleet management or logistics sector
