Key responsibilities include:
- Defining product strategy for SpotOn's restaurant software suite as an integral part of the leadership team
- Owning and managing the product roadmap with data-informed trade-offs based on customer needs, market dynamics, and business priorities
- Bringing innovative thinking to product design and vision, challenging assumptions and identifying bold solutions
- Partnering closely with Engineering, Design, Marketing, Data Science, Operations, and GTM teams to align priorities and deliver impactful solutions
- Analyzing market trends, customer feedback, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies to identify differentiation opportunities
- Leading continuous experimentation, learning, and iteration cycles using data to guide decisions
- Cultivating strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners as the product's advocate
- Collaborating on product positioning and messaging with product marketing teams
This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in the Austin office.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of product management experience or equivalent, preferably with restaurant or hospitality software
- Deep understanding of the product development lifecycle with proven ability to deliver intuitive, high-quality products that scale across multiple platforms
- Technical fluency: ability to engage effectively with engineers, understand APIs and systems architecture at a high level, and discuss implementation trade-offs
- Metrics-driven work style leveraging data for informed decisions
- Exceptional communication skills to articulate product vision, rationale, and trade-offs to cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Ability to understand customer needs and how they interact with products
- Ability to make decisions with imperfect information, lead without authority, and manage chaos, ambiguity, and complexity
- Hands-on restaurant or hospitality experience (working in a restaurant, bar, or cafe) is a significant plus
