Ashby is a rapidly growing HR/ATS platform (100%+ YoY growth) serving companies like Notion, Linear, OpenAI, Shopify, and Snowflake. The VP of Product is seeking a growth-oriented Product Manager to own onboarding and expansion, helping customers realize value faster and adopt more of the platform. In this role, you will be the single owner of the customer journey and onboarding experience across different organizational roles and stakeholders. Key responsibilities include: **Customer Journey & Onboarding**: Design thoughtful, role-based onboarding experiences that help users achieve their desired outcomes. This goes beyond individual onboarding to account for organizations with multiple stakeholders and different goals. **Product-Led Growth**: Spearhead the product-led growth motion by partnering closely with the Customer Success team (who currently own human-led onboarding). Own transactional email as an extension of the product experience. **Adoption Metrics**: Define and track key metrics to assess whether the onboarding experience helps customers realize value sooner. You'll work with a small data team but will largely own the analysis and metric development yourself. **Product Qualified Leads (PQL)**: Collaborate with Revenue Operations to bridge product signals with go-to-market activity. Own the definition of PQL and work with RevOps on routing. **Feature Ownership**: Own changes to product features that make onboarding easier and drive adoption. You'll have the authority to propose feature changes across the platform if they improve the onboarding experience. Over time, you'll create frameworks to help other product teams drive adoption. **Ashby's Unique Approach**: Ashby operates differently from typical product organizations. PMs spend less time writing detailed specs and more time with customers and deep product thinking. Engineers own projects end-to-end with deep customer understanding. The focus is on removing frustration and adding delight rather than running endless A/B tests. You'll be expected to be a pace-setter for your area, bringing healthy impatience and time-paranoia while managing scope well and prioritizing ruthlessly. **Requirements**: - Proven experience owning onboarding, expansion, or growth for a B2B SaaS product - Strong product taste; view growth as art, not just science - Track record of building growth strategies rooted in principled thinking, research, and data - Evidence of driving long-term growth results - Unnatural curiosity about end-users and the jobs they do - Excellent written communication skills - Experience developing product metrics deeply connected to customer value - Demonstrated ability to build exceptional relationships with customer success teams - Ability to coach and motivate high-agency engineers and drive urgency
