Qover is a leading insurtech scale-up ($70M raised, 160+ employees) revolutionizing embedded insurance across 32 European countries. The company partners with major brands like Revolut, Mastercard, BMW, and Monzo to deliver simple, transparent, and accessible insurance experiences.
As Product Manager for Compliance by Design, you will lead a dedicated, empowered product trio (PM, Designer, Engineer) to embed seamless compliance automation into Qover's digital flows. Your role bridges internal stakeholders (delivery squads, legal, risk teams) and external partners (Tier 1 automotive and fintech companies) to turn complex regulatory frameworks into high-performance API services and frictionless user journeys.
Key responsibilities span six core pillars:
**Product Strategy**: Own the compliance engine's product strategy, ensuring automated screening (sanctions, KYC, DISI, automotive Proof of Insurance) aligns with Qover's vision and partner commitments. Translate regulatory requirements into measurable outcomes (auto-approval rates, verification latency, onboarding friction). Monitor evolving insurtech regulations and market standards across automotive and mobility sectors.
**Product Discovery**: Conduct weekly interviews with internal risk officers, legal experts, partner integration teams, and end-users to identify friction points. Maintain a prioritization framework (OST, JTBD, RICE) mapping regulatory outcomes to opportunities. Execute rapid assumption tests and prototype solutions before full build.
**Product Delivery**: Collaborate with engineering to decompose complex regulatory rules into modular, releasable components. Ensure compliance services are high-performing, audit-ready, and scalable for massive transactional volumes. Define and track compliance KPIs including auto-approval rates, false-positive ratios, and processing speeds.
**Collaboration**: Lead your product trio with shared understanding and collective ownership. Partner cross-functionally with legal, risk, engineering, and partner teams to align on compliance requirements and delivery timelines.
**Stakeholder Management**: Manage competing priorities between regulatory rigor and user experience. Communicate compliance strategy and progress to executive leadership, partners, and internal teams.
**Continuous Learning**: Stay current on European insurance regulations (IDD, GDPR, local market rules), emerging compliance technologies, and partner needs to position Qover as a best-in-class compliant embedded provider.
You will work in a dynamic, product-led environment where compliance is a core differentiator, not a bottleneck. The role requires deep regulatory knowledge, strong product thinking, and the ability to translate complex requirements into scalable solutions that drive measurable business value.
