Rain is a global stablecoin payments platform serving enterprises, neobanks, platforms, developers, and AI agents. As a Visa and Mastercard Principal Member, Rain enables partners to move, store, and use stablecoins instantly and compliantly through payment cards, rewards, on/offramps, wallets, and cross-border rails. The company recently closed a $250M Series C at a $1.95B valuation, backed by ICONIQ, Sapphire Ventures, Dragonfly, Bessemer Venture Partners, and others. You will own Rain's onchain surface end-to-end—the blockchain layer that underpins everything else. This includes smart contracts and protocol design, chain and asset integrations, settlement and treasury flows, and core infrastructure. You'll be the directly responsible PM for onchain products, working closely with engineering, security, compliance, legal, and fintech/neobank/institutional partners. Key responsibilities include: owning the roadmap for onchain products (smart contracts, chain/asset coverage, settlement, payments); partnering deeply with engineering on protocol and infrastructure tradeoffs (contract architecture, collateralization logic, node reliability, gas strategy, cross-chain messaging); deciding which chains, assets, and stablecoins Rain supports based on liquidity, security, cost, partner demand, compliance, and regulatory exposure; driving the security bar for onchain work (audits, monitoring, incident response); translating complex protocol infrastructure into intuitive product surfaces and partner documentation; gathering partner feedback and prioritizing high-leverage work; and measuring ruthlessly to iterate quickly. You should have 8-10 years of product management experience at product-led companies with strong engineering cultures. Deep, hands-on blockchain fluency is essential—you've shipped onchain products and can reason about EVM and Solana mechanics, smart contract design, gas economics, and bridging models. You're known for exceptional product judgment, analytical rigor, and raising the bar for those around you. You operate autonomously, define problems, drive plans, and own outcomes. You have sound instincts on onchain security and risk, strong technical fluency beyond blockchain itself (APIs, distributed systems, payments), and genuine excitement for living in the details. Excellent written and verbal communication is required to work with sophisticated external partners and internal teams. Bonus experience includes stablecoin issuance, onchain lending, tokenized assets, protocol/L1/L2/wallet/custodian backgrounds, non-EVM ecosystems (Solana, Tron, Bitcoin L2s), payments/card issuing/cross-border fintech, regulatory knowledge of digital assets and custody, and startup/hypergrowth experience.
