Anthropic is seeking a Product Manager for Billing to own the end-to-end billing experiences for Claude customers. You will partner with Engineering, Design, Growth, Trust & Safety, Support, and Finance to build purchase flows, invoicing, usage tracking, and spend management tools used by individuals, teams, developers, and enterprise customers. Key responsibilities include: - Deeply understanding customer segments (consumers, developers, teams, enterprise admins) and identifying where billing friction impacts conversion, trust, and support volume - Partnering with Growth on purchase, upgrade, and plan-change flows, balancing conversion against clarity and long-term customer trust - Collaborating with Trust & Safety to prevent abuse of Claude plans and credits without adding friction for legitimate customers - Designing agentic billing experiences where Claude can answer billing questions, resolve common issues, and take billing actions (with confirmation steps for high-impact changes) - Ensuring every Claude product offers consistent, clear purchase, upgrade, and spend-management experiences - Driving product strategy and roadmap, synthesizing competing stakeholder needs, and communicating prioritization to senior leadership You'll own billing experiences that convert well, resist abuse, and enable customers to resolve billing questions independently. The role reaches everyone who pays for Claude—from individual plan upgrades to enterprise budget management. Requirements: - 7+ years of product management experience, including self-serve purchase, subscription, or billing experiences - Shipped self-serve experiences where you owned conversion and retention metrics and ran experiments to move them - Strong product design instincts; ability to make complex concepts (proration, overage, credits) clear on a single screen - Experience building LLM-powered or agentic product features, with a point of view on when agents should act autonomously vs. request confirmation - Credibility discussing system design with engineers, abuse patterns with Trust & Safety, and funnels with Growth - Comfort making tradeoffs between growth, risk, and financial accuracy, and explaining them clearly - Scrappy, resourceful approach to getting things done Strong candidates may also have: - Shipped customer tools for usage-based or hybrid pricing (seats, usage, credits), such as usage dashboards, spend limits, and alerts - Worked with Trust & Safety or risk teams to prevent abuse of plans, credits, or free trials - Launched products in new countries, including local pricing, tax, and currency considerations - Built self-serve help experiences that measurably reduced billing support contacts - Scaled through hypergrowth (10x+ revenue) Minimum education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience in a field relevant to the role.
